Korean Face Sheet Masks from Pack-Age

Known for their dedication to cosmetics and skincare, it is no surprise that sheet masks originated from South Korea. The sheet mask trend has spread like wildfire, over the last several years, and it doesn’t look like it will be slowing down anytime soon. Skincare and beauty companies are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to recreate sheet masks for their customers and the booming market.

In this review, we will be discussing five sheet masks, by a small Korean skincare brand called Pack Age. The company offers a small range of sheet masks for all skin types and every occasion. We had an overall great time using them and wanted to tell you about our experience.

How They Work

The most important thing about sheet masks is how they are able to force a lot of product deep into the skin. By applying the serum, or essence, on top of the skin, then sealing in the serum with a cotton based sheet, promotes the increase of serum being absorbed into the skin. Most sheet masks contain hydrating ingredients that are great for anyone who is suffering from dry skin, or their skin needs a boost because of a cold, or harsh winter weather. We suggest packing them into your carry-on because they are also great to use during a long flight to combat the dry air caused from being up so high in the sky. When the hydrating properties of sheet masks are combined with other ingredients, they are known to help minimize under-eye swelling, dry patches, irritation, and blemishes.

However, don’t think that just because sheet masks can do all these amazing things that you can replace them with your normal skincare regime. Think of them as an extra, hydrating boost for your skin when it seriously needs it. They can’t replace your SPF, anti-ageing creams, and expensive moisturizers, but they can help your skin to heal and remain balanced. If you have any questions about how best to incorporate sheet masks into your skincare regime be sure to speak with your dermatologist.

Sweet Dreams Deep Sleeping Mask

If you’re having trouble getting to sleep at night, try the Sweet Dreams Deep Sleeping Mask. Coated heavily with lavender essence, this mask is great to use before bed to help ease your mind for a good night’s rest. You will notice in the morning that the mask helps the skin from looking dull and tired to looking happy and healthy. A calming and revitalizing flower, the lavender extract helps to soothe and heal the skin, also reducing redness and inflammation, to enhance the skin’s natural radiance. One of our favorite parts of this mask, and a couple others in this review, is the cute note that’s on the cheek. It reads “You did well today. Sweet dreams.” This note is just what you need to be uplifted after a long and stressful day.

Don’t Worry Healing Mask

We all have a bad day every once in awhile and go through stressful periods in our lives. But it’s nice to know that there is a sheet mask out there that will help balance the skin from the effects that stress and anxiety can have on it. The Don’t Worry Healing Mask will soothe, repair, and heal irritated, damaged, sensitive, or acne-prone skin. Treat your skin with a face mask that will help calm imbalanced or dry skin, while removing any skin damaging pollutants and impurities from pores, restoring your skin to a healthy, balanced, and flawless complexion. The skin balancing properties in the essence of this mask will also help reduce the visibility of pores, redness, and inflammation and will give the skin a natural glow you’ll wish it always had. The cooling and hydrating benefits in the essence of this mask will leave the skin feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. It also encourages circulation and eases tension in the muscles on and around your face. The note on this mask says “Don’t worry everything is going to be fine.” A perfect note to remind you that everything will be alright.

I Love Myself Makeup Boosting Mask

Prepping the skin before makeup is an important beauty hack that a lot of people skip or completely forget about. The I Love Myself Makeup Boosting Mask is a simple and easy way to prep your skin before applying makeup to help give you a flawless application. It will also help your skin with loss of firmness and elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles, and dryness with its super hydrating and lightweight serum.

The mask will have your skin feeling cool, hydrated and bouncy to the touch in no time. After gently patting the leftover essence from the mask into your skin, we suggest waiting a couple minutes, until your face starts to feel tacky, before applying makeup to ensure that your flawless beat lasts no matter what. This last note is our favorite out of the three. It says, “I love myself, I am more than beautiful.” We love this quote because of its beautiful and empowering message.

Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask

If your skin is in need of a quick pick me up, then Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask is the mask for you. This sheet mask is great at temporarily maintaining your skin’s strength, durability, and youthful glow. We decided to experiment with chilling the mask, so we put it into the fridge for 15 minutes before applying. Though we’re not sure if it made much of a difference, it sure did feel amazing. The cooling serum will refresh your skin’s overall complexion and reduce puffiness around the eyes. Your pores will look smaller and your skin will be noticeably less oily, a huge bonus for people with oily and combination skin. We agreed that this was definitely the most hydrating mask that we tried. If your skin still feels tight and dry after feeding it a daily dose of moisturizer, then a hydrating sheet mask may provide the added boost it needs.

Melt Me Softly Blackhead Nose Pack

If you have oily or combination skin on or around your nose, you probably suffer from the occasional blackhead or break out. But rest easy, the Melt Me Softly Blackhead Nose Pack claims to extract any pollutants and impurities that are clogging the pores while leaving the skin feeling deeply clean, hydrated, soft and smooth. We were surprised that the nose strip burned a little because none of the other masks had this effect on our skin, but despite the slight tingling sensation, it reduces the appearance of pores and temporarily evens out the texture of your skin. If you suffer from having oily skin around your nose like some of us here at My Top Face then this nose sheet is made for all the grime you face each day from pollutants in the air, acne battles, and days when you just need a deep cleanse to your nose.

If you’re anything like us, the type of people who think a product isn’t really doing anything unless it tingles, Then you’d understand our suspicions of these masks at first. They just felt cool and wet on our skin — not a bad thing, but not something that would make us think that something amazing was going to happen. But after 20 minutes, we removed each mask and pat the leftover serum in and was very impressed when we saw our skin in the mirror. It looked clearer, more glowing, smooth, and supple. Our skin felt super hydrated afterward, and there was so much leftover serum in each package that you could use the rest to moisturize the neck and chest. We also loved the notes that were on several of the masks. They were cute, well written, and gave you an extra boost of encouragement. In conclusion, we were very impressed with how well these sheet masks performed, and would definitely recommend you to try them.

By now you have probably figured out that we at My Top Face kind of have an obsession when it comes to sheet masks. So if skin care is as important to you as it is to us and you are obsessed with sheet masks as much as we are, then make sure to check out what other sheet masks we’ve tried out in the past.
