We have already written about Obagi and how we fell in love with their products, this time we are going to feature a different set of products to use in summer time.
For our test and review, we got Sun Protection Products – Hydrate Luxe, TINT Cool & Warm, Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50, ELASTIderm Eye Serum.
Hydrate Luxe – Did you know that your skin follows a circadian rhythm similar to your sleeping pattern? Your skin works hard at night to renew and increase metabolic functions, which is why Obagi have engineered Hydrate Luxe to complement your skin’s natural nightly functions. Hydrate Luxe features shea butter, mango butter, and avocado in addition to biomimetic peptides and hydromanil to provide ultra-rich moisturization that keeps your skin looking and feeling supple and firm. For combination skin or acne prone skin, we suggest using it at night time only.
TINT Cool & Warm – Obagi’s Sun Shield Tint Sunscreen provides protection from the UVA and UVB radiation rays and heat-derived oxidative stress. The Cool & Warm Tint is a mix of a colored-base with sun-protection, where The Cool Tint is great for pale, lighter skin and The Warm Tint is darker skin tones. Both Tints are hypoallergenic, scent-free and have an SPF 50 protection. This is a great product to take with you wherever you go. To apply put a generous amount of the product in your hand and massage into body or areas that are mostly exposed to the sun like shoulders, arms, neck, face and your feet. The product can be re-applied every two hours.
Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 – Is another great sunscreen from Obagi that provides UVA and UVB protection in an elegant matte finish. Zinc oxide and octinoxate are active ingredients that help deflect solar radiation and prevent photoaging, wrinkles, and other damage to the skin. This product is officially recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation for daily use.
Obagi’s ELASTIderm Eye Serum is a product to take care of around the eye area. It is formulated to prevent fine lines, wrinkles, add elasticity promoting smoother and tighter skin. Our expert added that the product also provides a good hydration. This product applied twice daily and the results are almost immediate, you can see the difference in a couple of hours. This is a must-have product for summertime as even with sunglasses we tend to squint our eyes which causes wrinkles. This Eye Serum has such ingredients as bi-mineral complex and malonic acid and is also hypoallergenic and fragrance-free.
The expert suggested that if you didn’t try Obagi products yet – you definitely should, as this is not your usual sunscreen or skin cream, this is a variety of high-class and quality products to fit your skin needs and protection.
